Our school’s KG Park is a safe haven and a joyful space designed specially for our young buds. The park has age-appropriate play equipment like slides, swings ,see-saws and merry go round.

KECSAP (Debarpita Miss)

K.E Carmel School, Amtala was established in the year 1993, with the mission of creating a better society by becoming a powerful agent for social change. Keeping in mind this motto and mission, K.E.C.S Amtala has undertaken a number of social initiatives which is encapsulated under K.E Carmel Social Action Programme (KECSAP)- a social exposure platform for the Carmelites. With the aim to ‘worship the Lord through Service’, the school has successfully become the catalyst for social change for which it had pledged for. It addresses and works towards issues like eradicating poverty, illiteracy; improving status of women; ensuring healthy lives and facilitating better income opportunities for the inhabitants of the area around it.

KECSAP Amtala Activities (Debarpita Miss)

Evening School

KECSAP organises evening school programme for the children residing in the nearby villages. Besides the regular classes, different events like Teachers’ Day, Independence Day, Children’s Day are also organized for them where they get a platform to participate.

Scholarship Programmed for the students of K.E. Carmel School.

KECSAP provides scholarships to the students who are extraordinary either in academics or in sports to help them financially so that their education does not halt at any point of time.

Tailoring Training programme

KECSAP conducts free tailoring classes for women living in the nearby villages with the sole motto of empowerment. The 1st and 2nd rank holders of previous batches were given certificates and sewing machines.

Medical Camp and Free Cataract Operation

The social wing of KECS, Amtala, K.E Carmel Social Action Project (KECSAP) organises medical camps on a regular basis. Eye camps are held from where patients requiring cataract operations are selected for free treatment and glasses are also given to the people free of cost.

New house construction and repair & maintenance of old houses

Keeping in mind the motto of the KECSAP Programme, assistance is also provided to our supporting staff members. 3 houses have been provided to three supporting staff members and many repair works have also been done regularly to assist them.
